ENGLISH TRANSLATION:

V poledne jsem měla hlad, tak jsem šla na oběd do restaurace.
(At noon I was hungry, so I went to a restaurant for lunch.)

Večer jsem měl hlad, tak jsem šel na večeři do restaurace.
(In the evening I was hungry, so I went to a restaurant for dinner.)

Měl jsi včera hodně práce?
(Did you have a lot of work yesterday?)

Proč Michal nešel v úterý do kina? Neměl čas.
(Why didn’t Michal go to the cinema on Tuesday? He didn’t have time.)

Kdy měla Lenka narozeniny? Lenka měla narozeniny dvacátého třetí listopadu.
(When was Lenka’s birthday? Lenka’s birthday was on November twenty-third.)

Miminko mělo hlad.
(The baby was hungry.)

Nejeli jsme o víkendu do Prahy, protože jsme neměli auto. Bylo v servisu.
(We didn’t go to Prague on the weekend because we didn’t have a car. It was in the garage.)

Měli jste dost peněz?
(Did you have enough money?)

Měli problém. – A jaký měli problém? Co se stalo?
(They had a problem. – And what problem did they have? What happened?)
