Let’s put into practice everything you have learnt in the previous weeks:

IN ENGLISH:
It’s Wednesday and I’m going to the city center. Why? Because I’m going to buy fruit and vegetables at the market. We don’t have any fruit or vegetables left at home. I have to go shopping.
What do I want to buy? Here is my list:
onion
garlic
carrot
broccoli
beetroot
tomatoes
cucumbers
peppers
apples (jablka – formal x jabka* – informal)
pears
There are a lot of stalls at the market.
The greengrocer asks me: „Good morning. What will it be today?“
I reply: „Good morning. Two kilos of onions, half a kilo of garlic, and one broccoli.“
G.:“We have very nice tomatoes and cucumbers. Would you like some for a salad?“
I: „Alright, please give me three kilos of tomatoes and five cucumbers.“
G.:“Anything else? Do you have any other wishes?“
I: „Do you have beetroot?“
G.:“Unfortunately not right now. It will be delivered in the afternoon.“
I:“Then that’s all. Thank you.“
G.: „Altogether, that’s 318 crowns.“
I: „Can I pay by card? I just realized I don’t have any money in my wallet…“
G.: „Sorry, we don’t take cards, but there’s an ATM just around the corner.“
I go to the ATM and quickly withdraw some money. There’s already a line of people waiting at the stall. I pay for my groceries and go to buy fruit.
I: „Good morning. Three kilos of apples and a kilo of pears, please.“
G2.:“Here you go. Anything else?“
I: „I’ll also take some carrots and five kilos of potatoes.“
G2.:“And do you want the carrots with the tops or without?“
I: „With the tops. Thank you.“
G2.:“Anything else? Would you like a bag?“
I: „No, thank you. I’ll pay.“
G2:“That will be 153 crowns, please.“
I: „Here you are. Keep the change.“
I:“Thank you. Goodbye.“
G2: „Bye.“
