My Apartment in Vietnam
In May, I was on vacation in Hanoi.
What was important to me when I was looking for a place to stay?
peace and quiet and a nice view
an apartment rather than a hotel room
close to the city center
What kind of place did I find?
My apartment was on the fourth floor. I didn’t take the stairs. I took the elevator. The apartment had a beautiful view of the lake. It also had a balcony with a small table and chairs. I could sit there drinking tea or coffee and look out at the lake.
My apartment wasn’t big. But it was cozy. It was 47 square meters. It had everything I needed.
There was a small entryway with a shoe rack. There were hooks on the wall. An umbrella was hanging there, which I could use when it rained.
On the right side was a large mirror.
As I walked down the hallway into the apartment, I came to the kitchen counter. It had everything you need for cooking. There was an oven, an electric kettle, a refrigerator, a freezer, a microwave, and dishes. But I didn’t cook at home. I only made tea in the apartment. I went to cafés and restaurants to eat. Sometimes I bought food from a food stand. Why? I wanted to try as many Vietnamese dishes as possible.
Next to the kitchen counter was a dining table with four chairs. To the right of the dining table was the living room. There was a sofa with cushions on it. There was also a coffee table and a large TV. There was a small rug on the floor. An air conditioner was mounted high on the wall.
Next to the living room was the bathroom. In the bathroom was a large mirror. Under the mirror was a sink and a cabinet with drawers where I could put my things.
There was also a large shower
