Let’s Dive Into the Stories

1. První. Když jsem byla malá, chodila jsem každý týden na hřiště. Moc ráda jsem si tam hrála. Včera jsem nešla na hřiště. Šla jsem odpoledne na návštěvu.
   When I was little, I went to the playground every week. I loved to play there. I didn’t go to the playground yesterday. I went on a visit in the afternoon.
2. Druhý. Když mi bylo dvacet let, chodila jsem na univerzitu. Studovala jsem v Plzni. Dvakrát za měsíc jsem jezdila domů. Jezdila jsem vlakem nebo autobusem.
   When I was twenty, I went to university. I studied in Plzeň. Twice a month, I traveled home. I took the train or the bus.
3. Třetí. Když jsem pracovala ve škole, nemusela jsem chodit každé ráno na zastávku. Nejezdila jsem do práce autobusem. Chodila jsem do školy pěšky.
   When I worked at the school, I didn’t have to go to the stop every morning. I didn’t take the bus to work. I walked to school instead.
4. Čtvrtý. V létě jsem vždy jezdila na dovolenou. Buď jsem létala letadlem, nebo jsem jezdila vlakem.
   In the summer, I always went on holiday. I either flew by plane or traveled by train.
5. Pátý. Letos v srpnu jsem jela na letiště. Proč jsem jela v srpnu na letiště? Letěla jsem na Bali. Byla jsem tam celý měsíc. Vrátila jsem se až v září.
   This August, I went to the airport. Why did I go to the airport in August? I flew to Bali. I was there the entire month. I didn’t return until September (see – totally diffferent structure in Czech).
